2025 Year in Review

look what God did this year through you!

Hey Mat Carriers,

As we look back on 2025, our hearts are full. This has been a year marked by God’s faithfulness and by your willingness to show up, lean in, and carry people to Jesus week after week.

Because of you, thousands encountered hope on Sundays. Families found community in groups. Kids and students heard the gospel in environments designed just for them. Marriages were strengthened, friendships were formed, people were baptized, needs were met, and generosity overflowed into our community in amazing ways.

And of course, what a milestone year for East Cobb Church! After years of praying and planning, our permanent home is rising from the ground. Every beam and brick represents answered prayer and the faithfulness of a church family that refused to lose heart. Watching this building take shape has reminded us that God finishes what he starts.

So from the bottom of our hearts, thank you. Thank you for serving with joy. Thank you for giving sacrificially. Thank you for trusting God with us through delays, decisions, and construction dust. Thank you for loving people so well that their stories are forever different.

Most of all, we thank Jesus—the One who goes before us, empowers us, and invites us to join him in his mission.

We love you, and we hope this recap fills you with gratitude for what God has done and faith for what God will do in the year ahead.

Your friends,

Jamey and Sara Dickens

P.S. A digital version of this celebration will go out to the whole church. Pray that God uses it to raise up even more mat carriers in 2026!

First-Time Guests

Over 480 adults and children attended one of our Sunday morning environments for the first time.

Baptism

I want people to know that Jesus isn’t about religion or rules; he’s about relationship. He meets you right where you are no matter what your past is or how much you think you know now. His love is personal, unconditional, and life-changing.
Aaron

5 adults and 56 children and students went public with their faith through baptism.

“When you look out over this field in the next weeks and months, we are not looking just at water and concrete and rock. We are looking at Jesus Christ who is the foundation where this whole structure rests.”

On a typical Sunday

  • Over 600 adults attend in person.

  • Over 500 children and students attend in person.

We partnered with Avenue East Cobb to host Mega Awesome Costume Party for the community this year. We had around 3500 people from our community in attendance at the event.
